I really enjoy my job and am excited to see what the future holds. It's difficult working in an industry where a lot of people have an idea of what the colleagues look like or are like. I thought I had to be really techy to be able to work in IT and that is not the case, there are colleagues I work with from a range of backgrounds which don't include IT but they still excel in their role and do extremely well. It's a fast paced environment with lots of challenges but it is also very enjoyable at the same time. The roles I've had have really pushed me and I am grateful for the opportunities to be out of my comfort zone as it has developed me as a person and really helped me focus on my career ahead.

More about me

At school I wanted to be a lawyer - I never considered IT as a career path and now I regret not taking GCSE IT and learning more.

I would have taken the time to understand career paths more, to help understand which subjects match to which jobs.
