Team Manager - Early Careers
Alexander Mann Solutions
I loved my waitressing job while at Uni
I am Carrie. Most importantly, I am Mummy to two beautiful little girls, but I am also a wife and working woman. I have been working in the Recruitment Industry for 17 years and managing people for 6 years. I take endless photos and I love experimenting in the kitchen. My favourite part of my current role is getting to know those I manage and help them hone their skills and coach them to progress and develop. I love to work with new talent and help them realise their aspirations. I am so lucky that I get to work with people of all backgrounds and ages. My motto is 'There is always something to learn!'
Recruitment and human resources HR
My advice to any young woman starting out is to not be afraid but learn your strengths as quick as you can. Do not be afraid to challenge yourself. We are not supposed to be good at everything. Kindness is not weakness, silence is not stupidity.
BA (Hons) Human Communication
At school my love was History of Art and anything Art related, however this was not my degree of choice! I ended up doing a Communications degree with focus on Sociology and Psychology. This degree had a Physiology module which I found really difficult to fully understand.
Strong communication skills, Coaching, Performance Management, Organisational Skills,
I really listened to those I admired. I watched the women I worked with and learned from them. I have been so lucky to work with some amazing women who are hardworking, honest, capable and humble.
I wanted to work in an Art Gallery or teach History of Art.
So many things but I find time is a great teacher. Looking back I would have encouraged more self awareness in myself and been a bit braver..
