Hey! I'm Chloe and I am an Optical assistant with Specsavers. I am also a Modern Muse Youth Ambassador board member.

I began at Specsavers under the apprenticeship scheme where I learnt in detail my job role hands on whilst also having relevent modules and assignments to complete which provided me with even more knowledge.

I enjoyed my A-Levels as I was able to study in depth the subjects I had a particular interest in.

More about me

Communication skills- I must ensure I communicate clearly and effectively to provide patients with the best possible vision and recommendations.
Good time keeping skills- especially important in such a fast paced environment.

Whilst completing my apprenticeship I had mentors to add guidance and depth to my learning- this was especially helpful as they were also there to provide me with any feedback and further support which would have been beneficial.

I would have made the most of my years in secondary school by putting myself forward for more roles to gain experience and confidence which would have helped me more when I began working. I could have achieved more if I stayed for any additional lessons which were put on.
