Although this wasn't the way I wanted my career to go it was a great job to support me through university. I also learnt the important of customer service and how challenging it could be on the front line of customer service.
My first foot on my career ladder and in a area I had always wanted to work in Beauty.

Head of Customer Experience & PR at Superdrug Stores Plc. Outside of work I have two young daughters so I understand the challenges of being a working mum.
I started at Superdrug in 2004 working in varies different roles in marketing. In 2014 I took on a new role as Head of Customer Experience & PR. I am responsible for the customers' shopping experience. My aim is to give everyone consistently great service. In 2016 I was awarded Worldpay Everywoman in Retail Ambassadors Award. I love working in marketing and launching PR Campaigns. I also sit on an advisory board for the charity Mothers2Mothers which I feel very passionately for.

I went to a grammar school so we were all made to learn Latin. This is the subject I remember the least about and to this day I really can't remember anything about it except the town of Pompei and Mount Vesuvius. Doing a GNVQ in Business Studies introduced me to the world of marketing and I completely feel in love with the creativity and the power of being able to change peoples opinions. I also love the diversity of marketing and it's helped me in some many aspects of my career. Communications was my favourite subject at school and I studied it in both GSCE and A level. I feel it has helped me in my career not only through by work but also being able to read peoples non verbal communication. In every role you do I believe that having great communications skills gives you the foundations you need to build on a successful career.

I always saw my future in marketing so to now be in a customer role was not what I expected.
