CIBC World Markets 2006-2007
Head of Data Management - Line Management and Change Management working on process improvements.
Slurrp Juice Bar 2007-2008
Left the banking industry to set up my own Juice bar.
I have held a number of roles in my 10 years at Credit Suisse. My background is within Data and Project Management.
I am currently working on the Banks strategy for Brexit.
My first job after graduation, due to the fact it was a big organisation and working within the industry was all very new to anything I had experienced before. I had a team that were all relatively new to the industry which helped me in integrating.
I have been working in the Banking industry since I graduated for approx 16 years. I have worked in multiple organization with my longest stint being at Credit Suisse. I am currently working on the Brexit programme and am a Project manager. My interests outside of work stem around fitness and music. I like climbing mountains and keeping fit. Given the pressurized environment I work in, I turn to music as a form of meditation. It’s important to try and strike a balance from an early stage in your career.

I liked most of the subjects I studied whilst at school.
Strong Communication skills
Forming strong relationships
Through experience, by talking to peer group, by asking certain people to be my mentor. I also find going for coffees with select people that you may want to know more about.
By going on courses. By setting out your own path – only you are responsible for this, not your manager not your family/friends. Take lead of your objectives.
I wanted to be a Lawyer when I was at school.
I would network from an early age where possible. I would exhaust my research in terms of understanding what jobs existed and also tried to understand what I enjoyed. Having said this – things can change and what you may like at 18 could change by the time you’re 22. You don’t need to know what you want to do – go with subjects you enjoy.
