I am a Client Services Manager in the leading global talent management company. I manage team in multiple locations headhunting positions across the globe for a leading Pharmaceutical client.
My current job is my favourite! It is really varied, really busy and has lots of responsibility. I am managing and dealing with people globally, internal and external clients and am constantly growing my skills and knowledge.
Work out how to be efficient with your time; Know that there is always a solution; Be authentic - know your own values and stick to them, even in the face of adversity; Stay humble!

I loved English Literature but really disliked Maths! English gave me a lot of skills that are still relevant eg being highly analytical at a fast pace and strong with written communication to help build remote relationships and influence from behind a screen.

Interpersonal skills, business acumen, strategic thinking and a solutions focus are the keys to doing a successful job in this area. Knowing how to communicate and influence across different culture but with the bigger picture in mind is important whilst finding creative solutions and knowing that nothing is impossible!
I had great support at school, at home and at university but the biggest learns came for me when I joined one of the largest Recruitment agencies in the world. It was a tough environment but an amazing training ground. I learned from a lot of great people but technical and pastoral skills and furthered this learning when I joined AMS.
When I was younger I really wanted to be a Barrister - I loved the idea of arguing in court but wasn't so keen on the amount of research and work it would take to get there! It wasn't until 6th year that I started learning about alternative career routes such as Human Resources and Business Development.
Don't be lazer focused on always trying to get to the next level - enjoy the journey! There is always a plan and always a path - you should look for opportunities but also keep the faith that the right thing comes at the right time.
