What is involved in your job?
Asked by a user (14 - 16)
Hi! My job involves working with all different kinds of people! I get to help on all sorts of fun projects (some like this - Modern Muse) and some more technical. My day to day admin consists of reporting/updating data and checking for quality (not the most fun, there are boring bits in every job). I have a LOT of emails/phone calls/meetings as I look after a group of people who work abroad and they like to ask me tons of questions. I check all of their travel, spending, bonus payments, pay rises.. the list goes on. I manage their contracts and have to make sure two countries have signed them and that the other country is paying us for the employee. I actually love this part of my job as I have made fabulous friendships through working so closely with different people around the business and around the world. Also, when you work in HR, a lot of people come to you with personal and work-related problems and when you are able to help them/make a positive difference it feels great.

Why do we celebrate Women's Day on March 8?
International Women's Day is annually held on March 8 to celebrate women's achievements throughout history and across nations. It is also known as the United Nations (UN) Day for Women's Rights and International Peace.

Did you know...
After peaking in 1991 at 36 percent, the rate of women in computing roles has been in steady decline. Now, they hold only 25 percent of computing jobs.
In the high tech industry, the quit rate is more than twice as high for women (41 percent) than it is for men (17 percent).
For women in the tech industry under age 25, earnings on average are 29 percent less than their male counterparts.
About 74 percent of young girls express interest in STEM fields and computer science. Looking at the above statistics, it’s obvious these girls are deterred.

In society today the normality is (sadly) to bring other women down. Women need to stand together and praise each other and build each other up. #FirmBeliever #GirlPower
