So on 26th April T-Systems held an Inspirational evening networking event with some of our female leaders along with representatives from a number of our key UK customers. We heard from HSBC's Beth Spencer who talked about her varied career and what authentic leadership meant to her at each stage. Some of the theory behind the personal stories were shared by PM Management Consultants Ltd, along with some exercises which set the scene for the networking part of the evening. Attached is a picture from the event.
I hope you are all looking forward to Easter and are ready for the Easter Bunny to visit you all!!!
I hope you have a wonderful break with your family and remember to celebrate the true meaning of Easter.
There is lots of talk in the press and on the TV about the Gender Pay Gap, T-Systems are just preparing to share our own data. Attached is a video that will hopefully help explain to you what the Gender Pay Gap is. Take a look and let us know what you think..... Page not found – AdweekWWW.ADWEEK.COM
I hope you all had a very Happy International Women's Day and created lots of pledges. We celebrated this in the UK as part of our UK Diversity & Inclusion Event which wa* **tremely successful and we saw over 80 employees turn up throughout the day.
We started the day by a very fun ice breaker exercise on diversity and then carried on the fun with a very competitive quiz on Diversity & Inclusion. I wa* **tremely shocked but proud at how well the teams did. The winning team scored an amazing 18/20 and none of the other teams scored below 14 which is fantastic. The UK employees clearly know their stuff when it comes to Diversity & Inclusion!!!
We then spent some time taking about the Gender Pay Gap at T-Systems and had some really lively, open and honest discussions which I thank you all for your contribution it really made the day that we were able to share our views and thoughts so freely.
We had an amazing lunch which was Mexican themed as you can see from a few of the photos and I hope everyone truly enjoyed it as I really did although feeling a little full it was delicious. After lunch we welcome Kieron O'Reilly from ENEi (Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion) who provided us with some great case studies and was able to give us a small peek into the world of some of the other Companies he is working with (See more)*** *** also preparing to publish their Gender Pay Gap results.
Finally we finished the day with a very interactive exercise where we had groups of employees working on pulling together ideas, initiatives and their thoughts on how we could close the Gender Pat Gap here at T-Systems, focusing on various different themes. Its fair to say we now have enough material for our 2 year plan with a number of volunteers of employees wanting to get involved which is so exciting.
So to sum up it was a fantastic day with lots of energy, open and honest conversations and very thought provoking, I left feeling like we had achieved an awful lot in one day and had an awful lot more to do over the next 2 years but with a great sense of collaboration, team work and commitment.
So T-Systems sponsored the 'Rising Star' Award at the Everywoman In Technology Awards on the evening of the 8th February at the Hilton on Park Lane and it was a fantastic evening with lots of very inspiring people.
A number of our own employees attended the event as you can see from all of the pictures below including some of our nominees
Our MD Christoph Rode presented the 'Rising Star' award to a very worthy winner Kimberley Norris, Senior Systems Engineer, Lockheed Martin & Pilot Office, RAF Air Cadets from Portsmouth. We were also very proud to have one of our employee's daughter attend as a finalist for the 'One to Watch' category which is for aged 11-18 year old girls and although she did not win it was fantastic to be able to celebrate the huge achievement of being a finalist at the awards with such a high standard of talent.
Overall it was an amazing event and I truly hope everyone invited including some of our female stakeholders from a large customer had a fantastic evening and came away truly inspired. It is so important for T-Systems to be part of this initiative and helps us to celebrate all women in technology especially those at T-Systems and also helps us to inspire the next generation of talent.
So on Thursday 8th February T-Systems sponsored the Everywoman in Technology Forum as a Silver Partner and we were very fortunate to be able to invite a number of our employees to experience the event see the photos below
Overall it was an amazing day with lots of very inspiring speakers and it was great to also see 3 of our male colleagues attend the day of which I hope they were able to take some great stuff away to use back in their own teams.
Thank you all for taking the time out in your diaries to develop yourself and I really hope you have been inspired by what you heard on the day and can spread the word throughout the business.
Our Head of Diversity & Inclusion Claire Parker and 3 other Muses from the Company attended Walton High School yesterday to present to the Year 8 students on Modern Muse and T-Systems. It was a very a successful visit and they met lots of very bright and enthusiastic students. Below are a few photos from the day.
Happy New Year to you all, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and are now excited about what challenges lie ahead for 2018.
Keep tuned into T-Systems as we have just appointed a new CEO who will be making some exciting changes in the business so we will try and keep you updated on what's going on.
Have a wonderful 2018 and we hope to share lots more information with you throughout the year
So on Thursday 21st December our head of Diversity & Inclusion Claire Parker and a colleague went to Aylesbury Shopping Centre to offer to wrap presents for people for a small donation to the Florence Nightingale Charity. This was part of our offer to all employees to take 1 day a year to donate their time to Charity. She said the day was amazing, lots of Christmas cheer and lots of creativity in wrapping presents. They raised a lot of money for such an amazing cause and left feeling both very tired but also very proud of what they had spent the day doing.
What a week!!! there has been so much going on in this space I though* ** would be good to share some details. On Tuesday this week our Head of Diversity & Inclusion and 9 other colleagues from the UK attended the Personnel Today Awards as a Finalist. The evening was amazing even though we lost out to the Metropolitan Police for the Diversity & Inclusion Awards it was great to celebrate just how much we have achieved. Check out the link to the website and also the pictures.
We also attended the Tech Talent Charter Launch, which is all about organisations coming together to make a commitment that they will align to a set of undertakings and commitments that aim to deliver greater diversity in the tech workforce. The event took place at the Gherkin and it was great for T-Systems to be part of this and I have attached some photos of the event so you can see how much fun it was.
So a very busy and exciting week and lots of activity on social media but great to be able to take the time and reflect on just how much we have achieved. It has definitely been one of those Proud to be T moments.
We are super excited to be going to the Personnel Today Awards tomorrow night as a finalist for all of our work in Diversity & Inclusion at T-Systems in the UK. Part of this includes the promotion of Modern Muse
Fingers and toes crossed that we win 🙂
Today 2 of our Muses Claire Parker and Catherine Halstead presented to all of the Year4-6 girls at Summerfield School in Milton Keynes. There was lots of passion, enthusiasm and some amazing questions from the girls.
Thank you again for being such a great audience and welcoming them into your school.
